Digital world
A night resort you can walk into
The VRChat world is the entry point of the universe. It has to feel like one location with several zones — not a hub of disconnected rooms.
Zone list is a working draft — layout still TBD
Real material
Reference material from the team
These images were provided by the project team. They are the closest thing we have to the real look and they take priority over concept art.
Atmosphere
Neon, water and moonlight
Warm neon against deep night blue. Everything reads as premium nightlife: reflective floors, layered lighting, tropical materials.

Technical direction
Rules the world team works with
Performance is part of the design. A beautiful world that nobody can run is not finished.
Must hold
- Quest-friendly target as a goal, PC-first as a fallback (TBD)
- Lighting baked where possible, controlled realtime accents
- Consistent material library across zones
- Audio zones so music never bleeds into chill areas
- Clear navigation: you should never feel lost
Open questions
- Single world or hub + instanced event world?
- Player capacity target per instance
- How VIP access is verified in-world
- Whether avatars are provided or bring-your-own
NoteEvery asset added to the world must pass the universe test: does it look like it belongs to UMBRALIS? If not, it gets reworked, not merged.
